Senior sessions are some of my favorites. The future looks bright, parents are a little verklempt and being around young people will keep me young (it’s a fact). When Allyson emailed me about photographing her son, Michael, I knew it would be a laid back day. I did a 50th anniversary session for Allyson’s parents so I know the family and knew the we’d have a good time. I didn’t know what a natural Michael would be! Why aren’t these teens awkward anymore??
Allyson said “Michael is the type of person that lights up a room when he’s in it. He is smart, funny, caring and I am so proud to be his mom.” All the feels! Spending time with your family is always a joy and I love the connection between you two. I’m also glad we stopped for Holtman’s because donuts make most things better. You know what else makes a senior shoot even better? Parents who jump in a few shots (yay, Allyson) because you’ll never regret it.
Michael, cheers to a wonderful senior year!
